Paul McCartney is set to take the UK and Ireland by storm with 5 live shows as part of his ‘Up and Coming’ Tour. With over 100 million single sales, 60 gold discs and 23 number-one singles in the UK, McCartney is the ‘most successful musician and composer in popular music history’ (Guinness Book of Records). Tickets will be in phenomenal demand, so get yours now at viagogo
The former Beatle makes his first UK and Ireland appearance in 2010 at RDS in Dublin on 12th June, just six months after his sell-out show at the O2 Arena back in December 2009. McCartney then headlines the Isle Of Wight Festival on 13th June, followed by a one-off stadium show at Hampden Park in Glasgow on 20th June (exactly 20 years since McCartney last played in Scotland).
His tour continues at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 26th June, his first live show in Wales for over 31 years. McCartney finishes by headlining at Hard Rock Calling at Hyde Park in London on 27th June. McCartney insisted that “it’s always brilliant to play for the home crowd and these dates are ones that myself and the band are really excited about”.
With one of the greatest voices in rock ‘n roll, a magnetic stage presence and boundless energy, Paul McCartney is a master showman. Tickets are already available for these gigs on viagogo, but officially go on sale at 9am on 5th March 2010. Just spotted this exclusive Courteeners news posted on The Courteeners official Facebook page:

THE COURTEENERS – NEW LIVE DATE ANNOUNCED FRIDAY 11th DECEMBER – MANCHESTER CENTRAL
The Courteeners will play a very special live gig on Friday 11th December at Manchester Central (formerly G Mex). This exclusive one off date will be the largest the band have ever played and promises to be a truly amazing evening with support from very special guests Buzzcocks and The Whip.
Liam: “Trying to keep this show a secret since we confirmed a month ago, has been tough to say the least. Headlining Manchester Central at Christmas time, with Buzzcocks and The Whip in support – how are you supposed to keep that quiet?
For me it’s the beginning of the next Chapter in our story, just before our next record is released. It’s almost a year since we played the Apollo gigs in Manchester, so we’ve been building up to this for a long time. Come December, we’ll be ready to explode. I can’t wait. Merry F***king Christmas! LJF x”
Tickets go on sale 9.30am this Friday 4th September at www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk
The band are currently in the studio working on their second album. Stay tuned to www.thecourteeners.com for updates from the studio.
